There are wishes that I want to tell you,
Though some of these are so hard to say,
although I wish you would get a clue,
about how unhappy I am without you.
Although my wish list isn't quite that long,
it almost feels just like a song,
freeing, thankful, just like the music,
as I sing my wishes in the sunset.
The wishes start a little something like this.....
I wish you didn't leave me to lie,
among my comforting blankets sobbing,
like you did to most.
That you were there for me
to be my shoulder to cry on,
like a true friend would do.
That you didn't hand rain checks,
like a clown handing out cotton candy.
That you were kind to others,
like the girl I used to know.
The one who wouldn't hide your feelings,
instead,
you let it show.
Those are the things I wanted you to know,
for I want you to show you can indeed,
CHANGE!
