This book has been enjoyed by girls for over 100 years. It is a classic tale that one must read in girlhood or maybe even adulthood. Four sisters, meg, jo, beth, and amy, love their mother and father very dearly. When father goes into the civil war, the girls must help their mother through good times and bad.
